Illinois State Museum

Today we went to the Illinois State Museum. It's a great museum and it's FREE, which makes it even better. Most things are still a little to advanced for Cael but there is a new interactive play area for kiddo's that opened up this week.

Mom and Cael checking out some of the displays.

He was scared to death of these guys, we finally got him to walk up to them but there was no looking at me for a picture.

Cael listening to one of the interactive displays. They give you a card to slide which activates the display, again the things they were saying were above his head but he like to listen anyway.

This is in the new kids area. This microscope was very cool, it was favorite part. They had all sorts of things for you to put under it and inspect.

This was a dinosaur dig. They had all sorts of dinosaur bones buried that the kids got to dig for.

Cael working hard on his bones.

Grammy got in the action also.

It's going to be fun over the next few years taking Cael and watching how he continues to learn from all the exhibited and things the museum has to offer!
