Happy 40th My Friend

One my favorite friends was in town this weekend, all the way from DC. Her husband threw her a surprise birthday party with a little help from me with details on this side of things. She was totally surprised and such a fun night!

Singing Happy Birthday to Andrea.

We made her stand on a chair so everyone could see her....she still wasn't much taller than Desmond!

When I went to cut the cake Logan expected me to serve him a piece, so I did.

Three out of the five family members.

Some of the people who joined us for the night...

Right when I took the picture Joyce started talking so I fussed at her.

Then she fussed back at me...all the while Andrea is still smiling for the picture.

Tara the creeper

My SIL likes to stick her tongue out at me.....

My husband likes his nipples......

John likes Steve cell phone.....

Finally!! Thank you Adam for simply smiling at the camera.

One of the five family members.

Lot's of girl talk took place, some that will NEVER be repeated again!

I love it when Andrea's laughs...one of the many things I miss about my friend.

This is the look of someone getting the world best massage. It was fabulous!!

When we got in the are to head to the party Tara jumped in the back with Steve, which left John and I in the front together. So we road that way home...as you can tell Tara thought it was hysterical and the boys thought she was nuts.

Happy 40th brithday my friend. We love you so much and miss you even more!

Baby Isla

I am seriously in love! How is it that you can love someone else's baby so much? A baby that you have only just met? Maybe it's because we already love us some Shelton's an awful lot! Baby Isla Kate was born May 31st, but not before she gave us all a few extra gray hair from worrying about her. You can ready all about her over at her mommy's blog, make sure you read this post about her name.

First family photo! A beautiful family, minus one very important little girl!

We love you little Isla, welcome to our world!

Play Date

When Audrey came over the other day we also made chalk and work on camp stuff. They are such good little helpers!

Audrey and Cael waiting to make chalk.

I am in love with this picture.

Without me saying anything Audrey got excited and said "I see your butterfly". So stinkin cute.

Cael works much more efficiently with his tongue out.

Didn't turn out exactly how they were suppose to. Next time I will make sure to read the instructions a little better.

Audrey and I were playing, I looked over and saw this....

I love that my little mans loves to clean!

If you ever need camp books stapled these are the guys to help get it done!

Miller's Memorial Day 2011

On Memorial Day we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house for a cookout and homemade ice cream. It's a Memorial Day tradition. It's usually the first time for the year that we eat outside and more importantly the first homemade ice cream of the seasons. When I first joined the family homemade ice cream was just okay for me (although it's one of my dad's favorites). It has totally grown on me and love it when I see that fabulous machine out!

Cael helped Grandpa with the ice.

Lydia did a good job watching to make sure the ice cream was going okay.

Chris with "Lydia's" unicorn!

This was one of Steve's toys when he was little. Eventually we will get it, but for now it is hanging out at Grandma's house.

I love looking at it and picture my husband playing on it. I hope we can find a picture of him playing on it.

The grandkids had fun climbing on it, and as usual there was no success getting a picture with the three of them looking my direction.

Lyida decided there was a dinosaur in my camera instead of a butterfly.

She thought that was pretty funny.

Oh these two...

Cael decided to take a break. He ended up laying down on the shed porch for a good 20 minutes. It was pretty darn cute!

Benjamin was trying to tell me something here...I am sure it was something very important!

Can you guess whose STARKLY blue shoes these are? I will give you two hints. They belong to a boy. They do not belong to my boy.

We had such a nice evening together! It was extra nice to spent time with the family because we were leaving for vacation for a week. Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day.....six days ago! :)
