Let's Catch Up

Holy Moly I have been a slacker. Actually I haven't, I have been working every day and spending my evenings like a single person. No child at home and my husband had meetings every night. I must say I enjoyed reliving our days as just a married couple, but boy oh boy you couldn't pay me enough to ever go back to that full time. We wouldn't trade our family of three for anything (obviously), but sending him to see PopPop and Grammie for a week will be a special treat....for all of us!

I have several things to catch you up on.

* The rest of our trip in Ark.

* A pretty big interview

* A doctors appointment to confirm that I don't have cancer. Okay..I am the only one who thought I had cancer. But still, I need to fill you in on some things. It involves poo and probably surgery. Can't wait for that post can you?

So, let's catch up. But not right now, I have a train ride to enjoy and my "borrowed" Internet is going to end soon. I have three movies and my computer to hopefully pass the time until I arrive in Little Rock. At 3:10am. Gesh. Think about me tonight as you all are snuggled in your bed and I am trying to sleep on a train!

I can't wait to get my hands on my little guy!

The View From Here

I am on a train right now headed to Little Rock. Mom and Dad passed Cael off to Tim and Beth for the night. They are having an absolute blast! I am enjoying free internet while we wait in St.Louis. Thank you St.Louis Muni for not securing your wifi!

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

We had such a nice day today celebrating Christ's resurrection! Church was wonderful, lunch was yummy and lots of fun was had by all. So many different things to show you pictures of but I am going to do it in sections. For now here are some pictures of everyone in their Sunday best!

Big Bodacious Easter Egg Hunt 2011

We have been having a great time, so much fun in fact that I hadn't taken any pictures until today. Everyone is here. All kids, all spouses and all grandkids. Well grandkid for the time being. It is so nice to have everyone together.

Weiner Christian Church had their Easter egg hunt today. There were over 100 kids and a total of 300+ joined us for a day of fun! Steve, Marybeth, Tim and I did a kidstuf skit to tell the story of the resurrection (for my kidstuf gang, think Justin and Angel...it was that skit). It was so funny and everyone did a great job! Tim and one of his buddies did a juggling act...they were fantastic! I must say I was very impressed with my brother! Hopefuly I can load a video of it on here soon for you guys to see.

In the process of practicing our skit that we were about to do for over 300 people Steve noticed something was wrong with his eye. If you look closely you can see that the white part of his eye is swollen up and around his pupil. It was gr.os.s!! Four Children's Benadryl later and he was fine. Thanks for being tough babe and saving the day!

More to come later about his eye.

They have this little "Choo Choo" that they take kids for a ride in. For the 2nd year in a row Cael refused to come close to it...maybe next year.

What would an Easter egg hunt be without a "hot hot"?

Weiner's (I still laugh also..it's okay) 2nd Easter egg hunt was a huge success. It is so wonderful to see everyone helping out and pulling this event off. We miss so much being 6 hours away so I love that we get to take part in this with my family!

We had a fun night also but I am exhausted, more pictures to come!

Things are getting exciting around here!! We only have one more link on our chain, which means tomorrow we head to PopPop and Grammie's house! We have been busy packing and getting ready to leave, so no new pictures for today. Here are some from Sunday. As soon as we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house the kiddo's ran outside to play, in their Sunday best. Notice one child is not in any pictures....that kid is fast!

Check out my handsome little man. This is his Easter outfit but we will obviously not be here on Easter so he wore it this Sunday.

Let's Go Fly A Kite

We had a spur of the moment day with the Southards, and we had a great time! We headed to the park and Cael got to fly his first kite. We were doubtful there was going to be enough wind, but thankfully there was just enough to get a kite up in the air and keep it up for a little while.

Mommy's Bufferfly

Lately I have not been able to get Cael to look at me when I try to take his picture. I read about a little trick and tried it.

It might a have been a little lie. But guess what?? It worked!

I told him there was a butterfly in my camera.

He actually looked right at my camera.

He stood there for about five minutes.

He was very interested and even stood still.

And got really excited when he "saw mommy's bufferfly"

Now, too bad we weren't in the right lighting. I was afraid to make him move, but I am hoping he will want to check out my butterfly more often!

Countdown to PopPop's House

Cael and I made a paper chain to help us countdown the days until we head to PopPop's house. We have some excited people around here!

Here are the things that Cael is excited about doing!

* Going on golf cart rides (PopPop, you need to make sure you have it there ready for us)

*Seeing Grammie

*Seeing Uncle Tim, Uncle John and two Beth's.

*Seeing the dogs...all the dogs.

*Picking up pine cones, although not sure there are any to pick up right now.

*Getting to go see the Choo Choo's and airplanes

*Riding in PopPop's big truck.

*Playing more

*Getting to eat at Chick Fil A
